Hi I’m Simon, the first thing I remember as a starting point of my tattooing career was when I first got tattooed. It was about 17 years ago from a small shop in Barnsley, nothing too good to mention, and the experience was pretty shitty!!!!!
From then on I was given the opportunity to purchase my own tattoo machine and it went from there. I have spent years working in small shops and putting in lots of hard graft.
From tattooing small roses and other typical small tattoos, I recall looking at the tattoo magazines and seeing tattooists such as Filip Leu, Tin Tin, Theo Jack and Bernie Luther, and knew they would inspire my future.
About 4 years ago I got my lucky break and had the opportunity to work with one of the best tattoo artist in Yorkshire, Rob Doubtfire. I spent a year with Rob and the skills and knowledge I picked up are invaluable. Working with Rob was the turning point of my career. I then made the move to Ink vs Steel where I can put all my focus on custom designs with my oriental flair.
My art is a style that knows no style .. I am accomplished in all aspects of tattooing.
